HOW DOES THE BRIGHTSIDE CREDIT SERVICES CREDIT REPAIR PROCESS WORK?

We want you to clearly understand how the credit dispute process works. For a brief overview of how the credit repair process works, see below. You can also call one of our Professional Credit Analysts for a free consultation and they can explain the process to you and answer any questions for you. The credit repair process is actually quite simple; however it does require you to be persistent, patient, and to understand how the process works. To get started we need all three of your credit reports. If you already have them that is great, if not we can help you order them. Once you send your credit reports to us, you can log in and tell us what items you want to dispute and why. Once we complete this process, we will begin sending out your dispute letters to all three credit bureaus. The next 45-50 days you will get updated credit reports and letters back from your creditors and the credit bureaus. They will come in plain white envelopes with just a return address in the upper left hand corner, make sure you open all of your mail and get these results to us as soon as possible. We will continue disputing for you until your case is done or you choose to close your case…

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO REPAIR MY CREDIT REPORT?

Our clients typically start seeing results in 45-50 days. Because everyone’s case is different, some cases are completed in that time, but the average length for our clients is 4 to 8 months. It really depends on the type and number of items that need to be addressed in the credit profile. Successfully repairing credit requires persistence, patience and experience. This is where Brightside Credit Services expertise saves you valuable time. To effectively dispute incorrect information on your credit report, the key is knowing the ‘valid disputes’ and understanding the methods used by the credit bureaus in order to submit personalized disputes that meet their requirements and warrant a timely response…

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PULL A COPY OF MY CREDIT REPORT?

By the time you are at this stage, you have already signed up for a monitoring service. During the time you are with us, we recommend pulling your credit each month. Remember, the first results will come to your home in 30-45 days, so you may want to wait for 60 days the first time…

IF I CANCEL EARLY, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE WORK YOU HAVE DONE?

Financial problems come in many forms. If you find that you cannot make a payment or need to cancel because of financial stress, what we have already accomplished for you will remain so. Many clients will come in and out of our program throughout the years. ..

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A PAYMENT?

Part of what we teach in our educational emails is responsibility to the debts you have incurred. But if you suffer a financial problem, and your automatic debit is not honored at your bank, simply get us on the phone and make new arrangements. If you fail to do so, then the company will try a total of three times to debit your account. If you have not made arrangements, all work on your account ceases, and $20 per attempt will be charged to your account. These penalties will need to be honored before resumption of your monthly commitment with us…

WHEN I REQUEST MY REPORT DOES IT COUNT AS AN ‘INQUIRY’?

You may request your report as often as you choose – without affecting your score. You have the right to view your reports as often as you like with no penalty against you. However, ‘inquiries’ on your credit report from potential creditors, businesses or employers do count as an inquiry and affect your credit score. This is why we have you order your credit reports and send them to us. Our goal is to improve your overall score and eliminate credit report errors…
